Hemishofen House
Set on the banks of the Rhine, the Hemishofen House uses cues from the surrounding architecture in a fresh new way. The first floor is dominated by the open living, dining, and kitchen areas which stretch from one of the homes to the other. Upstairs are the home's bedrooms and baths, far more private than the glass-walled downstairs, yet still filled with natural light thanks to smartly-placed windows that serve as necessary breaks in the slatted upper facade.
