Backed by dramatic views of the Dolomite Mountains, House L brings a contemporary contrast to the rugged Tyrolean landscape. The larch-clad cabin features a simple form and a geometric roofline. Its L-shape wraps around an existing silver birch, putting the focus on the tree and central lawn while blocking out views of the street and commercial buildings. On the interior, a restrained palette of larch, pine wood, and gray hues create a series of minimalist living spaces and timber-lined windows frame in the surrounding scenery.
