Launched in 1984, the Transformers line of toys was accompanied by a TV show of the same name and established what would become a sprawling media franchise. At the forefront of these beloved characters was Autobot leader Optimus Prime, who is now available in LEGO form. Set #10302 was modeled on the original G1 toy design, with the iconic red, grey, and navy livery, an opening chest with removable Matrix of Leadership, ion blaster, and jetpack. Like the original, the brick-built version can change into a truck without needing to rebuild the set, thanks to 19 points of articulation. Made up of roughly 1,500 pieces, the finished model stands 14 inches tall and arrives with a step-by-step guide on how to change from robot to truck form.
