Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS Concept

Mercedes-Benz gave a glimpse of what's in store for the future of the automaker at Frankfurt with the Vision EQS concept. Based on a modular, scalable electric drivetrain, Mercedes claims 435 miles of range and 469 horsepower from a 100 kWh battery pack. But the real excitement is in the design and tech — and the Vision EQS is loaded with both. The flowing, sculpted exterior is a far cry from the boxy designs Mercedes built its name on, with a "lightbelt" that separates the black glass canopy from the silver bodywork. This continues into the front and rear, with the large front grille being lit entirely in electric blue. Inside, Mercedes looked to luxury yachts and the sea for inspiration, using recycled ocean plastic along with an array of sustainable materials. The interior also uses a system of projection displays to view the surroundings or a movie while the passengers kick back in the luxurious seats. The future looks good indeed.
