Munro MK_1 Electric SUV

EV startup Munro Vehicles is gearing up for the release of its first product, the MK_1 SUV. Under development for over four years, Munro bills the truck as the world's most capable 4x4, a bold claim for a new battery-powered SUV. The MK_1 is powered by a 376 horsepower, 516 lb-ft of torque electric motor backed by an 80kWh battery. That combo is good for a range of 170 miles, with a 15-80% recharge time of 36 minutes and a total recharge of three hours. Munro claims a 2,200-pound payload with a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. The utilitarian SUV body style seats five with room for gear. Munro plans to build 50 MK_1s in 2023, with production stepping up to 250 per year at their plant outside Glasgow, Scotland.
