Otzi Peak Lookout
In September of 1991 on the border between Austria and Italy, German tourists found the natural mummy of a man who lived between 3400 and 3100 BCE. He was given the named Otzi, or Iceman. Noa honors this monumental discovery with the Otzi Peak Lookout. The observation deck is mounted to the Schnals Valley Glacier, a short walk from the Glacier Hotel Grawand. Made from Corten steel, the semi-circular platform is surrounded by vertical metal pates, opening and closing views of the surrounding landscape. A walkway suspended above the mountains extends from the main structure. Floating in the mountain peaks, angled panels of glass funnel guest's views toward the final resting place of the historic Iceman.
