Rubber wasn't commonly seen on sunglasses in the 1940s. So while the frame of Persol's 3048S might be inspired by designs of that era, the rubberized finish of its acetate body is firmly grounded in modern times. The silhouette has a high bridge to better fit faces with lower cheekbones, and the crystal lenses are a polarized green for improved visibility around water and less eye stress in day-to-day situations. Made in Italy, they also sport the brand's signature Meflecto flexible stem system for a comfortable fit, and arrive with a carry case and cleaning cloth.
