Rabbit Ears House
Designed by Surround Architects, the Rabbit Ears House is a modern dwelling in the hilltops of Boulder. The sleek, mountain home is constructed of concrete, giving the exterior a hulking presence. Its namesake feature is two steel chimneys rising from the monolithic mass like a pair of rabbit ears. Internally, the atmosphere shifts to a light-filled interior comprised of a modern mix of white walls, ash-colored woods, and expansive glazing. The floor-to-ceiling window in the main living area opens the room out to a covered terrace. Glass railing blurs the boundaries between the patio and the ridgeline, providing unobstructed views over the mountainous landscape.
