Designed by Danish architect Sigurd Larsen for Raus, the Raus Cabins are micro retreats immersed in dramatic landscapes. The minimalist black volume features compact footprints and creates the illusion of space with an abundance of glazing. The transparent panels blur the boundaries between the inside and its surroundings, and skylights afford direct views of the treetops while flooding the interior with natural light. Black stain on the walls and ceiling minimizes reflections in the glass, allowing the views to shine. Conceived as a series of hotel rooms in nature around Germany, the first is located in Wehrmühle at Art Biesenthal near Berlin, with more launching in 2022.
