With a palette of walnut, steel, and travertine, the Sagaponack Barn Conversion echoes back to its rustic heritage with a modern tone. The building serves as a living area to a Hamptons weekend home with a breezeway linking the two structures. The interior is lined with wide planks of walnut, coated with a linseed oil finish and accented by a massive walnut travertine fireplace. Overlooking the space, a lofted library is accessed by a steel catwalk, also leading to a gym concealed from view. A pair of large sliding doors run down either side of the barn, allowing for open-air living during the warm summer nights.
