Sebastopol Barn House

Born in upstate New York and relocated to Northern California, the Sebastopol Barn House is the revival of a classic timber frame structure. The original wooden beams were disassembled and refurbished in Texas workshop. This rustic framework became the centerpiece of the home, highlighted by a series of white partitions, carefully formed around each pillar. Although the integrity of the previous design was maintained through its simple rectangular form, a new concrete extension creates an L-shaped design that encloses a central courtyard. The addition of glazed sliding doors grants access to this outdoor space, while also allowing for views of the wine country setting.
