Slot House
Sited high in California's Los Altos Hills, Feldman Architecture contrasts the rugged scenery with the clean lines and sleek exterior of the Slot House. Its namesake feature slices through the home vertically, diving the linear dwelling into private and public wings. The heart of the home lies on the communal side in the great room. Sunken to afford 12-foot ceiling, the spacious living area serves as a gathering point for cooking, socializing, and relaxing. While most of the house incorporates large rectangles of glass to frame in the landscape, this room features 40-foot sliding glass doors to envelop inhabitants in views while also connecting the interior to an outdoor terrace with an infinity hot tub when opened.
