Suspended House

A night in the Suspended House is not for our faint-hearted friends. Just as the name implies, the minimal A-frame cabin mysteriously floats off a rocky cliffside. Iranian architect Milad Eshtiyaghi imagines the home in Mendocino, California, and anchors it to a large mast by bracing cables. Triangular windows on three sides provide near 360-degree views across the landscape for the interior, while glazing on the floor provides a downward view. To really get your heart rate going, a transparent terrace dangles below the structure where a lounge area and swing offer a complete sense of weightlessness.
