While Jackson Hole is enveloped in dramatic landscapes, it's also prone to harsh winter weather. The Teton House accommodates both of these elements with a slick, modular design. The timber-clad chalet is fitted with a series of wood shutters. When the conditions are ideal, the expansive glazed panels are left open to afford the interior spaces full views of the surrounding mountainscapes. If a snowstorm rolls through, a hand-cranked pulley system closes the shutters to close the living spaces off from the extreme elements. Its cozy, oak-lined interior is the perfect place to wait out any storm. The 8,000 square foot home includes everything from a wine cellar and ski locker to a bike shop and home cinema.
