Creative endeavors sometimes require getting away from your daily routine, to retreat, to think, and to, well, create. The Brain by Olson Kundig Architects was built for just that purpose. A 14,000 cubic-foot concrete box, it features large cinematic windows on either side, interior structures made from hot-rolled steel, mid century furnishings, a piano, a fully-stocked library, and a fireman's pole for Ghostbuster-style escapes. Set in the woods outside Seattle, WA.
