Thornbury Castle

Living like a king is usually just an expression. At Thornbury Castle, it's reality. King Henry VIII and his new wife Anne Boleyn stayed in the castle during their honeymoon tour in 1535. At one point it sat unoccupied for over two centuries and had once served as one of Britain's best restaurants. It's now a 28-room hotel and event space, and also includes acres of gardens and vineyards. All of the 28 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, making the property a turn-key business, or, if you're so inclined, a private residence with enough room that you rarely have to sleep in the same room two nights in a row.
