Set on a small lake near Stowe, the Vermont Hills Home takes full advantage of its location's seasonal changes. Numerous windows allow for views of the colorful leaves of fall, snowy landscape of winter, and fresh blooms of spring, while the courtyard, patio, barn, and dock provide plenty of ways to enjoy the warmth of summer. The home's construction is influenced by its location, as well, with wood visible in the Spruce and Southern Yellow Pine framing, Douglas Fir ceilings and flooring, Red Cedar siding of the guest wing — attached to the main house via a wood and glass portico — and custom Mahogany casework, doors, and windows, giving the home a warm, cozy feel despite its clean, modern interior design.
