The result of a pattern trade between Edwin Viberg and Bill Danner in the 1970s, we've taken Viberg's classic Hiker boot and added a special ripple sole, gunmetal hardware, and black Horween leather to create this Uncrate edition. The foundation of the Viberg x Uncrate Hiker boot is the Vibram ripple sole, a descendant of the original ripple sole invented in the 1950s to give U.S. paratroopers increased traction and softer landings. The impact-absorbing and long-wearing design of the ripple sole is perfect for nearly any application you can put it through, from mountaineering to long city treks. The handcrafted boot is built with stitchdown construction and 200g Thinsulate, and is naturally waterproof thanks to a whole-cut upper, while a lace-to-toe system provides better support and easier access. We suggest taking a half-size down from your normal sneaker size. Made in Canada.
