Like a monolith monument, the Villa Murs-Blancs is sculpted into the hillside of a Swiss vineyard. The concrete form follows the natural topography of the land complementing the terrain with a sloping silhouette and a grass roof. Its northern end lifts from the soil and cantilevers over the ground below. Fitted with a large bay window, the interior of the platform is immersed in views of both the woods and the lake. Additional glazed panels are found throughout the internal spaces, framing in the surrounding scenery. For unobstructed views, an external terrace off of the upper level is perched above the treetops to afford views of the mountains in the distance.
