Placed on a half-acre lot above the coast, Villa Radii uses a radial design to afford 360-degree panoramas of the oceanfront setting. The dwelling, imagined by Lars Buro, is the result of a concrete block resting on a glazed cylinder. Appearing to float above the ground, its five bedrooms are located in the elevated opaque cube for privacy. A continuous strip window and a series of skylights keep the upper level connected to the outdoors while floor-to-ceiling glazing opens the master bedroom up to full ocean vistas. The main living spaces are housed in the transparent tube below. Its circular shape creates a natural roundabout for incoming cars and its curved glass walls surround the entire floor in views of the coastal landscape.
