Virgin Galactic x Under Armour Spacesuit

Commercial space travel is new. What the amateur astronauts wear should be, as well. The result of a years-long friendship between Sir Richard Branson and UA CEO Kevin Plank, this Virgin Galactic x Under Armour Spacesuit charts the course. It consists of a base layer, spacesuit, and boots. The base is designed to regulate temperature, moisture, and blood flow, while the spacesuit has a push-to-talk button, multiple pockets, body-forming material in the elbows and knees, cushioning in the shoulder and neck, and additional areas made from high-tech fabrics like Tencel Luxe, SpinIt, and Nomex. Finally, the space boots are inspired by the footwear of racecar drivers, with a lightweight feel, UA Clone technology to form to the wearer's exact foot shape, and Hovr cushioning for comfort. Branson will wear his suit during Virgin Galactic's inaugural commercial spaceflight; all other suits will likewise be personally tailored to each astronaut.
