Nikon Coolpix S800c Android Camera
Why should your favorite photo apps be limited to the built-in shooter on your phone? That's apparently the question that was asked during development of the Nikon Coolpix S800c Android Camera ($350). While it's 10x optical zoom Nikkor lens, backside-illuminated, 16-megapixel CMOS sensor, and full HD 1080p movie capture are all impressive, it's the S800c's 3.5-inch, WVGA touchscreen and Android 2.3 that steal the show, giving you the ability to download new apps from Google Play to expand your creative horizons, Wi-Fi for direct-from-device sharing, and GPS for proper geotagging. And unlike Polaroid's prior Android effort, you'll actually be able to buy it.
