  • Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia Tequila

Hand crafted and aged in Tequlia, Mexico — no, really — and featuring one of the most bizarre packages we've even seen for a premium liquor, it should go without saying that Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia ($159) isn't your typical party-time tequila. The box was created by Mexican artist Marco Arce, while the tequila is made from hand-selected agaves, and aged a minimum of three years in French Limousin and American oak barrels. With notes of pepper, caramel, vanilla, green pepper, and dried herbs, amongst other flavors, Reserva De La Familia has more in common with a great brandy than its namesake's cheapest booze.

  • Casa Dragones Tequila

Handmade in small batches, Casa Dragones Tequila ($330) is not your average booze. Each bottle is finished by a Maestro Tequilero, mixing platinum tequila with a dab of extra añejo for an incredibly smooth taste. Delivered in a handcrafted, reusable crystal decanter, it's meant for sipping, not shooting, and although it may taste great, it'd be a damn shame for it to wind up in a margarita mix.
