Combining a jet ski with a four-wheeler might sound crazy — in fact, it is a little crazy, but it's also awesome. The Quadski ($TBA) is exactly that: a four wheel amphibious vehicle that tears it up on land and sea, with a top speed of 50 mph on either surface. Granted, we doubt it's as good on land as a regular ATV or on water as a jet ski, but when was the last time you were able to drive your jet ski to the beach? [Thanks, Matthew]
We're big fans of Zipcar, the car sharing service, so it only makes sense that we'd be pumped about B-Cycle. A collaboration between Humana, Trek, and ad house Cripsin Porter + Bogusky, B-Cycle will soon be launching in Denver, with expansion plans in the works. Simply walk up to the B-station kiosk, pay, grab a bike, and go — you can drop off the bike at any other B-station with an empty dock. Just don't forget to bring a helmet.
What do you get when you cross a powerboat with a mini submarine? The Hyper Sub ($TBA). Offering seating for up to four passengers plus a pilot, the Hyper Sub is ABS certified, and offers a surface speed of up to 40 knots and a range of 500 surface miles, thanks to twin inboard diesel engines good for 880hp and a 525 gallon fuel tank. Below the waves, the Sub can dive up to 250 feet using a self-charging electric over hydraulic system, and offers a 180-degree acrylic canopy and umbilical SCUBA support.
