Tequila Ocho Anejo

If you're ready to get past the everyday shelf Tequilas of the world and step up to something truly special, Tequila Ocho Anejo is a great one to seek out. This estate-grown, 100% Blue Agave Tequila is the first tequila to designate the year it was produced and the field from which the agave was harvested. The Anejo expression is aged for at least one year and is the smoothest, easiest to drink expression from a line full of great, hand crafted Tequilas. Since each batch is unique, it can be rare and collectible, making it even harder to pass up if you come across a bottle.

  • Peligroso Anejo Tequila

    Not all tequila is made to shoot — instead, it's made to sip like a fine scotch. Peligroso Anejo Tequila ($60) falls into the latter category. Aged for 12-18 months, it's exceptionally smooth, with flavors of nut, pumpkin, oak, and spice, and is bottled at 84 proof instead of 80 for an extra boost of flavor. Arrives in a satin black glass bottle that's corked and numbered by hand before it's individually boxed, just another sign that it's not your average worm juice.

  • Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia Tequila

    Hand crafted and aged in Tequlia, Mexico — no, really — and featuring one of the most bizarre packages we've even seen for a premium liquor, it should go without saying that Jose Cuervo Reserva De La Familia ($159) isn't your typical party-time tequila. The box was created by Mexican artist Marco Arce, while the tequila is made from hand-selected agaves, and aged a minimum of three years in French Limousin and American oak barrels. With notes of pepper, caramel, vanilla, green pepper, and dried herbs, amongst other flavors, Reserva De La Familia has more in common with a great brandy than its namesake's cheapest booze.
