TAG Heuer x Kith Formula 1 Watch

Released in 1986, the colorful Formula 1 was the first timepiece to bear the TAG Heuer name. Kith founder Ronnie Fieg is a fan. Now they're teaming up to relaunch a limited edition, updated run of the original. The TAG Heuer x Kith Formula 1 collection encompasses 10 watches, all with different color combinations. Their 35mm steel cases and arnite bezels were made using the same mold used in 1986, with the crystal upgraded from plastic to sapphire, and the strap — on some models — upgraded from plastic to rubber (others sport a steel bracelet). For the first time, TAG has modified its logo to incorporate a secondary brand, and the "KITH/HEUER" mark appears on the dial alongside Kith's "Just Us" motto in script. Seven of the references are exclusive to KITH and honor the brand's flagship locations; the rubber strap models are limited to 250 examples each while the two steel bracelet variants are set at 350 pieces each. Two more are exclusive to TAG Heuer and limited to 850 pieces each, while a final model, split between the two brands, is limited to 1,350 pieces. A special collector's box containing all 10 of the watches will also be available and is limited to 75 examples. The initial watch will be an in-store only affair in Miami — to celebrate the F1 Grand Prix in the South Florida city — on May 3rd, followed by a global launch on May 6th, with the Kith.com launch accessible via drawing only, which is live now on the Kith App.
