Ace Hotel Kyoto
Like the building itself, Ace Hotel's Kyoto outpost promises to merge modern comfort with time-honored tradition. Its 213 rooms — a mix of standard rooms and suites, each with its own Japanese soaking tub — are spread out across a new-build, designed by 2020 Tokyo Olympic Stadium architect Kengo Kuma, and the former Kyoto Central Telephone Company building by architect Tetsuro Yoshida. A lush central courtyard separates the two volumes and is joined on the grounds by a gallery, event spaces, a cafe, and three standalone restaurants. Reservations are available now for stays beginning April 16.
