AeroDelft Project Phoenix Aircraft
The world's first hydrogen-powered aircraft is almost ready for flight. The Project Phoenix was developed by a team of students in the Netherlands and is powered by liquid-hydrogen fuel cells that let it provide three times the energy of fossil fuels and no greenhouse gases. The crew-less aircraft weighs in at 113 pounds with a range of 311 miles and a flight time of up to seven hours. And they've been working on a two-passenger version as well that is scheduled to make its first flight in 2022.
