Airstream World Traveler Trailer
Ohio-based Airstream has been building riveted aluminum campers since 1931. For the first time, they're bringing their 7.5-foot-wide platform — developed for the European and Asian markets, where the roads are more narrow — to the states with the World Traveler. The new lineup starts with the 22-foot 22RB, with a 3,700-lb base weight that allows it to be hauled by mid-sized SUVs and crossovers. While the exterior has the classic Airstream styling, the interior is delightfully minimalist, with white aluminum walls, lightweight, light-toned cabinetry, a three-piece dry bath, a V-shaped rear bed and a convertible dinette, and a galley kitchen with a two-burner cooktop, 3.1 cubic-foot fridge, and plentiful counter space. Standard equipment includes a ducted AC system with a heat pump, a combination furnace/water heater, and a Bluetooth JBL stereo; options include a 300W solar system with battery, a microwave, and a backup camera.
