American Express Centurion Art Cards
By sheer exclusivity, the American Express Centurion Card — better known as the "Black Card" — has become a status symbol. Now the company is pairing with two artists to put a new spin on the iconic card. The Rem Koolhaas x Centurion Art Card uses drawings from his unfinished Boompjes project, which aimed to redevelop a war-torn section of Rotterdam where his OMA firm was founded. The Kehinde Wiley x Centurion Art Card, on the other hand, repurposes the lush greenery from his painting Princess Victoir of Saxe-Coburg Gotha. For those that would prefer not to carry a card with them, Amex has partnered with Prada to craft a Centurion strap made using black saffiano leather that hides a hidden payment chip within.
