Apfelhotel Torgglerhof
Situated among the apple orchards, meadows, and mountains of South Tyrol, the Apfelhotel Torgglerhof has reimagined the ordinary rural retreat. The property combines the idea of a modern boutique inn with a farmstead getaway to create what they call a "farm-hotel." To realize this concept, they called upon noa* network of architecture. The project included new guest rooms, a wellness center, and a restaurant with a goal to immerse guests in the bucolic landscape and stunning architecture. An additional 18 suites infuse a traditional barn aesthetic with modern design and natural materials to create a series of inviting rooms that feature open terraces, hammocks, and expansive views. The restaurant expansion introduces a collection of aluminum pavilions that flow into a garden while the light-filled interior offers a cozy atmosphere with hanging plants and wicker light fixtures. The final project was the wellness center. Burrowed into a hillside, its curved concrete facade leads to two-story spa that houses massage rooms, an indoor-outdoor pool, and a Finnish sauna overlooking the apple orchards.
