Apollo 11 Lunar Module Timeline Book
Placed between astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong aboard the Lunar Module, this Timeline Book is a step-by-step account of mankind's first journey to the moon. The three-ringed document covers the Eagle's voyage from inspection to its undocking, descent, ascent, and rendezvous with the Apollo 11 Command Module. Annotations by Aldrin and Armstrong include hand-written landing coordinates, the first writing by a human being on a celestial body other than Earth. Wonderfully preserved over the last 50 years, traces of lunar dust included, it will go up for auction on July 18th at Christie's in New York, following a display tour that includes stops in Hong Kong, Beijing, San Francisco, and Seattle.
