Apple App Store
With less than a day to go before the 3G iPhone hits the sweaty palms of fanboys in the U.S., Apple has launched its App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Filled to the digital brim with over 500 native applications (Free-$10), you can find software in nearly 20 different categories, including an official AIM app (finally!), a new Remote app from Apple that lets you control iTunes and Apple TV, tons of surprisingly great looking games, and apps for social-obsessives (Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter). You can download applications directly on your iPhone from anywhere or buy them through iTunes and then sync up. Old iPhone owners just need to wait on the iPhone 2.0 software update. Or not.
