Calendar Watch

At first glance, it doesn't look like a smart watch. And that's the entire point. Like the Stop the Time Watch before it, the Calendar Watch uses its connection to your phone to enable a single time-saving feature without losing its mechanical heritage. In this case, that feature is the ability to display your daily calendar, using an E-paper display that serves and the dial and a vibration motor for alerting you to your next meeting. The rechargeable battery lasts for weeks, the hands and dial are protected by domed sapphire glass, and the interchangeable lugs and bands let you customize the watch to suit your tastes.

  • Filson Dutch Harbor Watch

Inspired by the dive watches of the '50s, the Filson Dutch Harbor Watch blends timeless design with fierce practicality. Inside its brushed stainless steel or PVD-coated 43mm case is a Shinola Argonite 715 quartz movement keeping accurate time, paired with a unidirectional bezel to make sure you know how long you've been under. Speaking of which, it's water resistant up to 990 feet, and has a straightforward dial with a date window at 6 o'clock and Swiss Super LumiNova accents on the index and hands. Available in a variety of colors, it comes with either a leather, nylon, or stainless steel bracelet, and is assembled by hand in Detroit.

  • Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire Watch

Plenty of watches have sapphire backs that let you see their inner workings. The Hublot Big Bang Unico Sapphire Watch goes a step further, building the middle, bezel, and back of the case out of the hard, scratch resistant material. Continuing the transparent theme, the skeleton dial is made from transparent resin, while the screws, crown, and buckle are made of titanium, all the better to show off the Unico HUB1242 movement. Finished with a transparent strap and limited to just 500 pieces.
