Encuentro Guadalupe

The rooms at Encuentro Guadalupe may be small, but once you get an eyeful of the views they provide, their size simply won't matter. Set on a hill overlooking the Valle de Guadalupe wine region, this unique luxury hotel features 20 cabins, each of which provides unobstructed views of the valley. The hotel is somewhat remote, but thanks to an on-site pool, restaurant, and winery/bar, there's little reason to leave — and since it's just 90 minutes from San Diego, you won't have far to go when you do decide to venture back to civilization.

  • Natura Vive Skylodge

Hanging off the side of a mountain 400 meters above Peru's Sacred Valley, the Natura Vive Skylodge is among the more daring accommodations you'll find. Each of the three individual suites measures 24' x 8', with four beds, a dining area, a private bathroom, and 300-degree views thanks to aluminum and polycarbonate construction. To get there, you'll need to climb Via Ferrata or take a zipline hike, but either way, you'll enjoy a snack during the ascent, a gourmet dinner with wine, and breakfast in the morning, which you can choose to eat inside your capsule or outside in the brisk mountain air.
