And Firestone Walker Brewing — unrivaled in some of their own ways — have a fantastic take on the Belgian Quadrupel with Stickee Monkee. The brewers not only created their own version of the style, but they've tweaked it enough to create a new category: Central Coast Quad. The huge 13.4% beer is brewed with Belgian candi sugars and then aged up to 14 months in bourbon barrels from Woodford Reserve, Elijah Craig and Four Roses. This perfect storm of booze, sweetness, and malt was just bottled for the first time, and is another sweet success for Firestone Walker.
