Fitbit Ionic Smartwatch

Forget the Blaze. According to the company, the Fitbit Ionic is their first real smartwatch. Forced to play catch-up with Apple and Android, the Ionic has all the necessary features to compete, like water-resistance, GPS, a heart rate monitor, notifications, and contactless payments. It has several tricks to put it ahead of the competition, however, like dynamic on-device workouts that adjust and give feedback based on your vitals, four-day battery life, and a blood oxygen sensor to identify health issues like sleep apnea that other trackers miss. Available in three colors paired with a line of straps in different materials and designs.

  • Christopher Ward C9 P2725 TM-B Watch

RAF Flight Lieutenant Ray Holmes became a legend when he defended Buckingham Palace from an oncoming Luftwaffe bomber by ramming his P2725 Hawker Hurricane into it mid-air. The Christopher Ward C9 P2725 TM-B Watch celebrates Holmes as well as other, less celebrated RAF soldiers. Inspired by the Hurricane's dashboard, the matte black dial has highly legible numerals and indexes that alternate between white and tan SuperLuminova. The 43mm DLC stainless steel case holds a Swiss-made Valgranges A07.161 movement chosen for its power reserve function that here recalls the aircraft's altimeter, and has a piece of aluminum salvaged from the P2725's engine on the rear. Limited to just 100 examples, it arrives with a canvas strap reminiscent of the plane's fabric fuselage, as well as a vintage oak leather strap.

  • Caliper Slide Rule Watch

Before there were calculators, slide rules were the most common tool for quickly finding the answers to simple math problems. In watches, however, this process has gone in reverse. Decades after the advent of digital calculator watches, the Caliper Slide Rule Watch brings the classic mathematical tool to your wrist. By turning the lower crown, you move the interior ring of the rule, which wraps around a semi-transparent face through which the Miyota movement is visible. The case is made from PVD-coated 316L steel, and has a list of handy conversion factors on the reverse side. Available in two styles, it's water resistant to 100 meters.
