Lucy Sunlight Bender

No artificial lighting can compete with the actual sun. That's why the Lucy Sunlight Bender doesn't create light. Instead, it uses an adaptive mirror and a series of intelligent sensors to track the sun throughout the day, keeping it focused on the same spot — just like a lamp. And since it's always in the sun, it can run solely off solar power, setting you free from the constraints of your home's existing wiring.

  • Sony LED Light Bulb Speaker

You need light. You want music. Unfortunately, your space only has a solitary light fitting. Not to worry — the Sony LED Light Bulb Speaker can take care of both. As the name says, this multi-function gadget fits into the same fittings as ordinary bulbs, providing up to 360-lumens of app-controlled lighting, as well as an integrated 2 Watt speaker system that's ideal for filling small spaces. It connects with your phone via Bluetooth, and also has a remote that can be paired over NFC, but as with many gadgets this unusual, there's no word yet on a US release.

  • Flyte Levitating Light

Combining magnetic levitation with wireless power transmission tech dating back to Nikola Tesla, the Flyte Levitating Light is modern day magic masquerading as illumination. Its shatterproof LED bulb floats and rotates slowly in the air above a sustainably-sourced wood base, which plugs into a standard power outlet and lets you turn the light on and off with a single touch. As an added bonus, the base doubles as a wireless charging station, so it serves a purpose even when you don't need the light on.
