Lunar Solar Smartwatch

Any smartwatch owner, or anyone who's ever read a smartwatch review, knows battery life is one of their most significant issues. The Lunar Solar Smartwatch overcomes this with a small, transparent panel that collects energy from both the sun and artificial light. As a result, you won't need to charge it every night — or at all. Notifications, fitness info, and more are displayed discretely on the dial via a series of LEDs, and for more detailed information, all your stats get synced to a companion app on your phone.

  • Rolex Submariner 5513 MilSub Watch

Created specifically for the British military, this Rolex Submariner 5513 MilSub Watch is a rare example of purpose-built timekeeping. At a glance, you can see its distinctive sword hands, which — along with the fully gradiated bezel — were added to improve legibility. Fixed lugs replaced the spring bars, improving durability and ensuring the watch wouldn't fall off its now-necessary NATO strap. While these watches were never sold to the public, this particular example is even more rare thanks to its included "Hudson" papers that confirm it was delivered to the British military in ready-for-service condition.

  • Zenith Defy Lab Watch

Christiaan Huygens' balance and hairspring design has been improved upon and optimized in the centuries since its debut in 1675, but the basic principle has remained the same. Until now. The Zenith Defy Lab Watch uses a single silicon piece with details finer than a human hair to replace roughly 30 components, including the balance and balance spring. As a result, it's the most accurate mechanical watch in history, losing an average of just 0.3 seconds per day. A skeleton dial lets you see the novel oscillator at work, and sits in a 44 mm case made from Aeronith, an aluminum composite that's lighter than solid aluminum, titanium, and even carbon fiber. The watch is initially being produced in a series of ten pieces, each with its own color scheme, and each already spoken for.
