Artisans de Geneve The Uncatchable Rolex GMT-Master II
As portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can, Frank Abagnale Junior was a young conman convicted of fraud during the 1960s, including impersonating a Pan Am pilot. Artisans de Geneve uses his life's journey as inspiration for The Uncatchable Rolex GMT-Master II. The custom watch reimagines Abagnale's Rolex GMT-Master II to reflect his iconic story. As an homage to the era, the date disc features red and blue numbers on a cream background, while the bakelite bezel now dons vintage-style flat teeth. Its dial has a gradient finish in two shades of cream for an aged look, and hand-painted indexes add to the retro aesthetic. The caliber 3186 has also been modified with circular-graining, hand-beveling components, and a hardened balance bridge with a mirror polish, all visible through the open case back. A period-correct rivet bracelet completes the transformation.
