Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Chronograph GMT Watch

In the automotive world, concepts are often far-fetched visions of innovations that might trickle down to production models. Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak Concept line showcases innovations in watches that are actually for sale, like the Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date. The middle of its 43mm case is crafted from lightweight CFT carbon, which fuses colored luminescent fibers into the mix, offering a unique aesthetic while offering resistance to humidity, heat, and shocks. The process to craft the material took five years to develop and is now patented. A black ceramic bezel, crown, push-pieces, and caseback finish the case, while the dial is a skeletonized affair with black counters, a blue inner bezel and subdials, white gold hour-markers and hands with luminescent coating, and titanium chronograph and split-second hands. It's powered by a selfwinding Calibre 4407 movement powering the flyback chronograph, split-seconds, GMT, and large date complications, and it sits on a blue and black rubber strap.
