Audio-Technica ATH-ADX7000 Headphones
Despite its budget turntables being a coffee shop staple, Audio-Technica has also made high-end open-back headphones for decades. The ATH-ADX7000 is their latest flagship model. Its 58mm drivers employ newly developed HXDT (High-Concentricity X Dynamic Transducer) technology, which uses precision molding to create the diaphragm while placing all the circular components (baffle plate, magnet, voice coil, diaphragm) in concentric alignment. The result is full, natural bass response and smooth, articulate mids and upper range with two sets of included earpads — one in high-density velvet and one in Alcantara for a fuller sound — for personalization. An aluminum honeycomb housing is connected to a magnesium frame for lightweight strength and minimal added distortion, and each pair is handmade in Japan, with a laser-etched serial number and an included, specially designed hard carrying case.
