Bay Flats Hunting & Fishing Lodge
Every November, one of the continent's great waterfowl migrations stacks along the western edge of the Gulf of Mexico, and Bay Flats Lodge is perfectly positioned to intercept it. On the shore of San Antonio Bay in the Texas Coastal Bend, guided hunts push out before first light to remote marsh blinds and bay-edge pop-up blinds, working Gadwall, Widgeon, Pintail, Canvasback, Redhead, and Teal over full-bodied decoys through late morning. For those who want more, the Cast and Blast package moves guests straight from the blind to a bay boat for speckled trout, redfish, and flounder on the same water. The lodge runs more than 20,000 square feet on the waterfront with room for up to 35 guests, and packages cover lodging, meals, guide service, and bird and fish cleaning. Dinner is fresh bay shrimp.
