Bell & Ross BR-X5 Watches
While the case, dial, and strap of a watch are its immediately identifiable elements, it's the movement that's the watch's heart. With the BR-X5, Bell & Ross has performed a transplant on its popular BR-05. Visible through the caseback is the new BR‐CAL.323, a manufacture automatic movement developed in collaboration with Swiss specialist Kenissi over the course of several years. It powers a large-aperture date window at 3 o'clock and a circular 3-day power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock, as well as the hour, minute, and second hands. Depending on the model, those appear on a sunray black, sunray ice blue, or matte black dial; the former pair is housed within 41mm steel cases and the latter within a 41mm multi-material DLC titanium and carbon fiber case. The stainless steel models arrive on either a rubber strap or matching stainless bracelet, while the carbon model comes on an orange rubber strap and is limited to just 500 examples.
