Bose x KITH 901 Speakers
Bose debuted its first stereo speaker set in 1968 with the 901 system, a mid-century masterpiece loaded with nine drivers per side — one front-facing and eight angled drivers facing the rear. The rear-facing drivers were designed to reflect sound, giving an ambient effect while disguising the actual location of the speakers themselves. Discontinued in 2016, the 901 has returned in collaboration with Kith's Ronnie Feig. Bose didn't release many details on the new 901, but the design is a direct recall of units from the '70s and '80s. The 901 will come in two wood finishes: whitewashed ash or natural air-dried walnut. The stand design uses stems made of brass that connect to the base, with period-correct fabric grilles. Bose didn't release any details on price or availability.
