Canon RF-S7.8mm Dual Spatial Video Lens

Spatial video on the Apple Vision Pro is said to be an incredibly powerful way to relive important moments. Creating said video, however, has been limited to either shooting in a dedicated mode on the iPhone 15 Pro or donning the headset itself (and thus missing out on experiencing the moment first-hand). Canon is addressing this issue with its RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens. Built for the EOS R7 mirrorless camera, it uses two lenses with a capture angle similar to a human's field of view to record lifelike memories, even in challenging lighting conditions. After capture, the video is run through the EOS VR Utility app, which transforms it into spatial video meant for viewing on Apple's pricey headset. The RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL is expected to be available this fall.
