Casa Silencio
Located on a nine-acre agave field, the Casa Silencio immerses guests in the culture of Oaxaca. Conceived by Mezcal El Silencio, the boutique retreat fuses the art of mezcal with high-end hospitality. It's made up of six suites that complement the rammed earth structure with artisan details, including burnt wood, distressed leather, hand-woven wool rugs, velvet upholstery, and copper lamps. Each one features its own unique layout and furnishings while maintaining a warm, moody atmosphere throughout. To celebrate the local spirit, the hotel offers guided tours where guests go through the palenque, see the solar-powered tahona wheel in action, observe fermentation, and visit distillation areas. The experience continues with a tasting of the Silencio Special Edition Mezcals where drinks are paired with dishes from Chef Rodolfo Castellanos, and it ends at the 17-foot basalt table with a five-course meal prepared by Chef Daniel Robles Sumano.
