CIGA Design Tourbillon Year of the Horse
CIGA Design, the first Chinese watchmaker to win the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, marks the Year of the Horse with a limited edition of its Central Tourbillon Watch that treats the zodiac as a fully realized scene rather than decorative shorthand. The dial centers on a sculpted 24K gilded horse shaped through traditional Chinese line engraving inspired by Clerical Script calligraphy dating back over 2,000 years, while time is read via a pair of floating diamonds serving as hour and minute hands that orbit above the grooved surface. At the center of the dial sits the in-house Caliber CD-12-SI manual-winding tourbillon, finished with a micro-sandblasted base plate, chamfered edges, and sunray-brushed gears with over 38 hours of power reserve. The 45.5mm case is grade 5 titanium with a black DLC coating and mirror polish, paired with a black shell cordovan strap and hidden butterfly clasp. Limited to 199 pieces, each numbered on the exhibition caseback.
