Concrete Cylinder House
After working at Banana Republic for nearly 15 years, Omar Nobil took his design talent beyond clothes to develop a sustainable luxury lifestyle brand Unincorporated Associates. The company merges architecture, clothing, and custom vehicles to create an "immersive residential experience." Its first project is a concrete concept in Joshua Tree, consisting of a 3,200 square foot cement cylinder with three bedrooms and a guest house, partially burrowed into the desert landscape. Exposed walls, concrete countertops, and built-in furniture develop a minimalist aesthetic, while a pair of 180-foot tall windows warm the monolithic interior. Along with the dwelling, new owners will also receive 21 custom-designed outfits and a vintage Land Rover Series III rebuilt with an electric engine. The property will be sold off-market.
