Corsair Red Absinthe
What happens when you create a non-traditional version of a historically vilified and mysterious spirit? Well, you get Red Absinthe from Corsair, of course. Absinthe, the anise-flavored spirit derived from botanicals was banned for decades because it was wrongly thought of as an addictive hallucinogen. It turns out it's no more harmful than any other spirit. Corsair distillery started with a traditional 1800's absinthe recipe, and then added things like citrus, tarragon and finally red hibiscus to give this unique offering its color and some floral notes. A different take on an up-and-coming spirit.
